The photograph is from my series (and limited edition booklet–still available!) ten convenient stores. This image was shot with a 4x5 view camera and I'll always remember making it, the family sitting and waiting in the back of the car, the wanted poster taped to the left of the door, the smell of the recent rain—I love seeing now, it in this format.
